Waylands farm – 6 km from Darling on the Darling-Malmesbury Road (R315).
The gracious old Victorian farmhouse overlooks a large garden and the farm dam. It has five double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, bar-fridge, tea and coffee. The spacious lounge has a fireplace and a large shady veranda overlooks the fenced-in swimming pool. Braai facilities in the garden are available for guests to use and an optional farm breakfast is served.
Guests are welcome to wander around the historic farm and enjoy the veld and rustic surrounds. The well-known Waylands Wild Flower Reserve, with its many species of wild flowers, is spectacularly beautiful in springtime. Bird life on the farm is particularly rich and varied.
Waylands is a fully functional and operating farm. The farming activities include vines, crops, Merino sheep and Nguni cattle.
