Run Cape Town is an eco-active tourism initiative that offers guided “sightrunning” tours of the city of Cape Town – instead of jumping on a bus, bike or car, we don our sneakers and running gear and run through the streets of Cape Town, seeing the sights and learning about the history, culture and modern day life of the city, all on the run!

Run Cape Town recently paired up with Darling Brew, craft brewers based in Darling, to bring this unique way of exploring a new place to the town of Darling. We offer a half day tour of Darling, which includes the following:

  • 7.5km or 8.5km guided trail run on a beautiful working farm in Darling
  • Olive and Chocolate tasting at Darling Olives on the Yzerfontein Road
  • Wine Tasting at the Darling Wine Shop, Main Road Darling
  • Beer tasting and lunch platter shared between two people at the Slow Quarter, Darling Brew’s tap room in Main Road, Darling

10:00 Meet and start the trail run on the Farm

11:30 Olive and chocolate tasting at Darling Olives, Yzerfontein Road

12:30 Wine tasting at Ormonde Langfontein Street, Darling

13:00pm enjoy a tasty lunch platter and beer tasting back at Slow Quarter, Darling Brew’s tap room, Long Street Darling

Rating: the trail run is not technical, however a moderate level of fitness is required as there are 2 hills on the running route … BUT the sheep, cows, horses & outstanding scenery provide a wonderful distraction from the exertion!

PLEASE NOTE: The trail run can be adapted to a 7.5km or 8.5km distance. It is not a very technical route and is perfect for all levels of runners – the idea is that the guests run at their own pace, so you don’t need to be a super fit runner to enjoy this experience! Your running guide will carry water doing the tour.

  • Walking tours can be arranged where preferred.
  • Tours limited to a minimum of 4, maximum 8 people.
  • Own transport to Darling, as well as between the farms, required.
  • Transfers from / back to Cape Town can be arranged, at an additional cost
